Lock Down

Hopefully if you are reading this you have been sent an invitation to view my blog, I didn't want to have to do this and hopefully its only going to be a temporary measure, but yesterday I turned round to ask my colleague a question and she had just put something into the google search engine and this blog was at the top of the list.

As it happens she didn't click into it, but if she had of done it wouldn't have taken much to work out who had just had a bump in her car and also been offered a new project at work.

For those of you who know me the name wouldn't have given anything away because my real name is nothing like my blog name but I really want this job and I don't want to put it in jeopardy by getting caught with a blog.

I have had a good week though apart from money wise, some of you maybe aware of this, well I have been stung for an extra months council tax in a week when I only did a few hours last week and after my previous job deducted all my free pay with what they paid me I picked up a massive £128 today, and with my sky bill and the unexpected council tax payment I am what you could say a little bras sic lint.

The council have assured everybody they have refunded the money but it probably won't hit my account until the middle of next week.

I did feel sorry for the poor guy who rang me this afternoon from the council customer services, I think he thought I was going to give him a mouthful and I just joked with him, he said he had had a horrendous day and was dreading making the next call. I just said I knew it wasn't his fault so there was no point in me taking it out on him, I think I made his day being so understanding.

On the other hand I would like to get hold of our local politician who has stated it is a software error that caused it, he really ought to give us a little more credit for knowing that someone must have pressed a button to deduct all that money again, pillock!!

So it's a Friday and Saturday night in for me this week, I am going to rugby on Sunday only because I got the tickets last week.

On a good note though I have worked a full week this week and I am owed some expenses so I should get paid some decent money next Friday.

Fingers crossed....

If you know of anyone I haven't invited please pass my email addy on to them and I will invite them.

its me again I found that you have invited me on this address too.

Sorry you felt you had to lock down for now.

I know the brasic feeling. I just got stung for a whole year of council tax to pay off before april it isn't long since I finished paying off last yrs tax.
when I got my tax credits this morning I was still left over my overdraft once the rent was paid.

At least I know that with this new job it is going to get better in a few months. I am sure itwill for you too :-)

Hi Emma,

Thanks for the invite! I can certainly understand your reasons for wanting to *go private* with the blog right now...

I'm sorry to hear that things haven't been great for you over the last week or so. You really deserve a change of luck babe!

Enjoy your weekend and the rugby on Sunday :-)

Hugs,

Hey - I'm still debating if I need to go private or not! Its driving me crazy that someone from my work is reading - but I think they probably have no idea who I am.

Random how your work mate googled and found your blog! That really sucks!

Hi Emma

Thanks for adding me.

When I heartd that on the news I thought of all the people already living on the bread line, I hope the council will pay the bank charges that people will be getting due to the "Computer error"

Dark Side said...

Kiwi - I know yes it was very scary, I would love to know what she put in..xx

IT - They are refunding bank charges, the most worrying is they refunded all the money instantly on Thursday but they offered cash loans to tie people over, now they will have to pay it back..xx

Poor council guy…. I feel sorry for him, it was bad enough dealing with missed bin collections in my job let alone telling people we’d taken money from there account in error!
