My new social life

Ooo what can I say? Just had the most fantastic night out tonight sober..lol, called in to see my friend who has a pub earlier on tonight just for ten minutes to drop something off for her, in my day gear no going out gear, no makeup and ended up walking out at 1.30 this morning.

I really didn't know I could have so much fun sober, it was liberating and also very funny at times watching as people got more and more pissed as the night wore on and did more and more daft things.

It has done me the world of good also because at one point when it started getting busy I got a bit anxious but I practiced my breathing exercises and worked through it and now I can't wait for my next night out, not with black eyes from the op though...it will be a couple of weeks after that.

Also been playing with more music today and ordered a in car connection for the ipod, life is really quite fun at the moment...:) and Holly is much better too, looks brighter today, thanks for all of your concern.

Going to bed now though need some sleep before rugby tomorrow....

It is funny seeing pissed people when you're sober, isn't it?
I'm glad life seems good for at the moment. Keep it up! x

Hi Em, Glad things are picking up for you.
I used to be the 'sober driver' for do's and nights out so I know what you mean about watching people getting pissed. The only thing that used to drive me mad was when they told you something and then came back two minutes later and told you the same thing........and then again a couple of mins later......

Thanks miss, it appears to be yes, and yes asw I had just the thing last night a lovely gay guy telling me about his mum who hated him because he was gay but he was lovely just repeated himself continually....

Emma - I should try that one night! Actually, I sort of did Friday night, hence how I got involved in a fight with a bunch of drunkards.

It's amazing Vi I was so amazed how aware you are of your surroundings and we had a little incident which could have flared but the sober one intervened and it all settled down, it's good to see whats going on and you kind of sense it quicker than the drunks xx

Hi Emma,

It's so lovely to hear that you had an enjoyable night out last night. Sounds like fun!

It's also rather refreshing to hear that the breathing exercises actually work! LOL.

I am so glad to hear that Holly seems to be feeling a lot brighter today. That's great!

Have a lovely evening...
