Update on Mum and other things

Mum is still in hospital, she was supposed to come home yesterday but had a bad leak from her drain in her hip so had to stay in until she has gone 24 hours without it leaking.

They have said it is fairly normal and she should be fine, to be honest I don't think it's a bad thing because to me she wasn't ready to come home yesterday but she is much more positive tonight so hopefully she is ready to come home.

She did say tonight she just wants to get back into her own house, my sister has offered for her to go and stay for a couple of weeks but she is insisting she just wants to be back in her own surroundings.

I can understand that because there is nothing worse then being away from your own home.

She is now trotting about on her two sticks and says she can manage with one most of the time her only problem is getting in and out of bed so I have been and bought her some satin sheets today to see if we can slide her out instead...lol...

On another note I have received a letter today from one of my major creditors trying to frighten me by telling me they are making me bankrupt, I know this is wrong but all I can say is bring it on, it will save me the money and they still won't get anything from me.

The Team Manager job I had a telephone interview for a couple of weeks ago rang up today with an interview for Wednesday this week, but it is a half day interview where you get some company background, then face to face interview, then you have to do a presentation and finally a role play.

I did this for my last Team Manager job and it was great fun, but in all honesty even though the job is pretty well paid I feel awful for saying it but I just don't want it, it's going back to working 8-8 shifts and weekends, I feel very ungrateful for saying I don't want it but I don't, also if I go for this afternoon interview I will lose 4 1/2 hours pay so in effect it will cost me £40 to go for an interview for a job I don't want.

I suppose if nothing else comes along in the next few weeks I do still have the marquee job to fall back on.

Oh and last night dohrrrr what am I like? Sat and waited for RAC for 1 1/2 hr's because when I put washer water in the bonnet wouldn't go down properly, I have a Renault and they have had various bonnet problems in the past so I was a little nervous.

The poor guy arrived in a bloody great recovery truck only to push the lever back in which you pull out to release the bonnet catch......I did apologise profusely but he didn't seem to mind and even offered me a lift home because it happened outside the pub so what better excuse then have a drink while I waited....

I am such a woman sometimes....I am afraid to say!!!

hey, you made the right decision about the job. If you don't like the hours, don't do it!

Hey Em never be afraid to say that you are 'such a woman'!!

Your Mum looks to be doing fine but it'll be a relief all round to get her home won't it, especially to satin sheets!!

Glad to hear your mum is recovering well.

At least now I know how to get a free taxi instead of having a private escort (police gave a free ride home once).

Regarding the job, if your not going to be happy with the hours then don't go for it. It can take a while to adjust back to shift patterns and if you don't like it you will have to readjust again.

Regarding the creditors, if they do make you bankrupt, it saves you the fees. If you need any info let me know as having been through it I now know some helpful links etc.

Take it easy

LiR - She is home now, just got her home today and she seems settled..xx

Reen - Thanks, yes she will heal much quicker in her own home..xx

KM - No Haynes required thanks..lol...I have a very good mechanic for that purpose..looks like I am getting an extension to my contract fingers crossed..xx

Catz - Yep good excuse for a couple of pints, but then again I don't usually need an excuse..xx

Moose - We have her home just need to get her in and out of bed now..lol..xx

Vi - Thanks, I am hoping so I just was a bit sceptical turning an interview down..xx

Si - Satin sheets are on, lets hope she doesn't slip too much..xx

IT - It's too easy for them to make me bankrupt, it would be lovely if they would but it will cost them too much for no return whatsoever, it's just another scare tactic but they don't scare me anymore..xx
